Welcome to Fulcrum Books

Creating a space for dialogue and difference in the
Indian publishing landscape.

Thank you.

The response to our crowdfunding call has been overwhelming. We covered our costs for the book and more (which will go into future poetry books).
We would like to thank each one of you for pitching in:

We are grateful that so many people have shown support to poetry as a genre and to independent publishing, especially in these economically bleak times. Thank you very much and you will receive your copy(ies) of the book soon.

Our model.

The average cost for a book of poetry produced well is about Rs 30-35k (for a 500 print run). The average cost for a well-produced monograph or book is about Rs 1 lakh (for a 500 print run).

Fulcrum Books will run on a non-profit basis in the first instance, trying to make with each book enough to print the next one. Eventually, we hope to make a small profit and publish more books while supporting the contributing authors and poets.
